BRANDING HEADSHOTS FOR GENPASS 07.29.22
There are headshots and then there are branding portraits. By the latter, I mean photos of employees that define a company. That tell you more than just what everyone looks like (you may have heard me touch on this theme before).
Genpass develops and manufactures home COVID PCR tests. They asked me to produce a series of company headshots that give you a feel for their corporate culture.
Their employees are largely scientists and product marketers. But there's a playful spirit that runs through the company (I think that if you look in the right places, you'll find it in most companies).
The series of headshots below use natural light (of course) and will grace their About Us page. They give a sense of the diversity and uniqueness found at the company. There's lots of uses for these photos, but recruitment jumps to my mind. The shots present their employees as industrious, forward-thinking, playful, and irreverent. Sounds like a company where I'd like to work.
I also floated the idea of making 5x7 prints of each employee's photo and displaying them on the entranceway walls. I can't think of a better way to introduce a company to visitors/potential recruits, or just to reenforce the value they put in their employees.
